The new Peter J. McGowan Concourse at Islip's MacArthur Airport features new gates, shops and eateries! On August 4, 2004 Southwest Airlines moved into its new home in the beautiful east concourse which features four brand new gates, shops and eateries, and a comfortable seating area with tons of space for passengers to get up and stretch their legs! Next time a passenger takes off to any of the 46 fabulous destinations out of Islip, she will be doing it in style and comfort!
- Gate Information: Southwest Airlines uses gates A5, A6, A7, and A8 in the East Terminal.
- Ticketing: You can purchase tickets at the ticket counter.
- RAPID CHECK-IN Kiosks: In the main lobby prior to the Security Checkpoint and at the Ticket Counter.
- Baggage Claim: The baggage claim is carousel 1-4.
Islip is located in Suffolk County on Long Island between Bay Shore and Oakdale along Highway 27A near Heckscher State Park in the Southern Region of the state.
